Saint Francis Ministries is one of 15 organizations to recently receive the Texas Home Visiting (THV) grant award from the Prevention and Early Intervention Division of the Department of Family and Protective Services.
Lubbock, Texas – February 13, 2023 – Saint Francis Ministries will host a grand opening and dedication of its new residential treatment facility on March 3 in the former Buckner Children and Families Services’ FYI Center, at 125 Chicago Avenue. The new facility will provide clinical psychiatric care in a small group setting to children and youth in out-of-home care.
Lubbock, Texas – August 10, 2022 – Saint Francis Ministries will open a residential treatment facility within the next several months to help to fill a gap in services in Region 1 and keep youth needing in-patient, therapeutic services closer to home.
Lubbock, Texas – March 2, 2022 – Saint Francis Ministries has successfully moved into Stage II of its Community-Based Care contract with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Today, the organization began serving 41 counties in Region 1, which includes Lubbock and Amarillo, with case management services.
Saint Francis is pleased to announce the selection of Melanie MacKenzie as the Executive Director of Capacity Building for Texas.

In this, Saint Francis will begin the transition of work within Region 1 in partnership with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
