Melanie MacKenzie joins Saint Francis Texas team

Saint Francis is pleased to announce the selection of Melanie MacKenzie as the Executive Director of Capacity Building for Texas. In her role, Melanie will oversee project management for Stage II transition. Her primary focus will be overseeing the capacity development in Region 1 in collaboration with other SSCCs and external partners. Melanie was formerly a Program Director with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and has had various roles in child placement and foster care and adoption. She has served her community on several different boards and is a strong advocate for children and families.

Melanie is a native of Altus, Oklahoma, and now lives in Lubbock. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University and a Master of Education in Community Counseling from Texas Tech University. Melanie spends her free time with her husband of 17 years and their three children.

Saint Francis is excited to begin the work of bringing our children back to their communities, so as a collective group, our children and families can get the hope and healing they deserve.
