Imaginative and affectionate, 10-year-old Caleb loves superheroes. His favorite by far is Spiderman, and he likes to pretend he can shoot webbing from his hands – just like the comic book hero. He also enjoys playing with his trucks, playing in the park with his foster brothers, and attending church with his foster family. Caleb hopes to be a scientist when he grows up.
Although he manages school well, he has struggled with remote learning during the pandemic. Caleb thrives in an environment with structure and consistency and has a hard time dealing with chaos and change. He needs patient parents who understand trauma and who will not get upset when he does something incorrectly. He does well with plenty of positive reinforcement, attention, and love.
The best home for Caleb would include brothers near his age and a big backyard. A farm would be great. He loves animals, especially dogs. Mostly, he needs a family that likes to do “fun stuff” like going to movies and to the park together. He would be happiest in a two-parent situation, with a family that understand and accepts his unique emotional needs. He needs parents and siblings who can help him navigate difficult emotions and challenges and who will provide him with a secure and loving place to belong.
