Saint Francis Ministries is pleased to announce an agreement in principle to transition services for the Cheshire Adult Residential Program in Gulfport, Mississippi, from Saint Francis Ministries to REM Mississippi. The transition is expected to be completed by the end of April 2024.
REM Mississippi, with its expanded resources, is well positioned to serve the Cheshire community effectively. By transitioning the Cheshire program to REM Mississippi, Saint Francis Ministries will direct its focus and resources towards other operational areas in Mississippi, such as the Bridgeway work in Picayune, thereby maximizing its overall impact and effectiveness in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Throughout the transition process, Saint Francis Ministries and REM Mississippi will collaborate with the Mississippi Department of Mental Health to provide continuous care and service delivery for Cheshire residents. Both REM Mississippi and Saint Francis Ministries are dedicated to providing the individuals we serve with the respect, dignity, and support they deserve.
“We are confident that REM Mississippi’s capabilities and dedication align with our mission to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” said William J. Clark, President/CEO at Saint Francis Ministries. “This transition marks an important step forward in our efforts to enhance our impact and reach within the communities we serve.”
