Saint Francis Ministries welcomes new Chief Information Officer

Saint Francis Ministries announces that James Tagliareni has joined the not-for-profit child and welfare organization as its new Chief Information Officer. Tagliareni’s responsibilities will include providing leadership and oversight for Saint Francis Ministries’ information technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and information systems, with a focus on supporting the organization’s mission and the children and families it serves.

Tagliareni brings more than 30 years of information technology leadership experience to Saint Francis Ministries, including more than two decades serving in Chief Information Officer and executive IT leadership roles in higher education. Throughout his career, he has led enterprise technology strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, systems development, and technology modernization. Prior to joining Saint Francis, James served as Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Piedmont Community College in North Carolina. He previously held executive IT leadership positions at Washburn University, Trinity University, College of the Mainland, and Robeson Community College.

“Jim’s arrival comes at a pivotal time for Saint Francis Ministries as we continue to strengthen the technology backbone that supports our mission,” said Saint Francis President and CEO William Clark. “His three decades of IT leadership, paired with his deep experience protecting sensitive data in mission-driven institutions, make him exactly the right person to guide our information systems and cybersecurity strategy forward. We’re confident his leadership will help us better serve the children and families who depend on us every day.”

“I’m excited to join Saint Francis Ministries and be part of an organization that is making such a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families,” said Tagliareni. “I look forward to working with the talented team at SFM, strengthening our technology capabilities, and using innovation and technology to help advance the organization’s mission. I’m grateful for the

opportunity to contribute to the important work Saint Francis Ministries is doing across the communities it serves.”

Tagliareni earned his undergraduate degree and M.B.A. degrees from Southwest University.
