Hope Starts Here
Serving girls ages 12-18, our newly renovated residential care campus offers a therapeutic environment where youth can heal, find hope, and begin anew.
Children who come to Saint Francis Ministries arrive with a variety of behavioral and emotional concerns. Many have experienced complex traumas that can manifest as self-harm, aggression toward others or property, running away, substance use, sexual behavior, and/or legal problems. We provide treatment for diagnoses that include, but are not limited to:
- Anxiety Disorders, and Depression Disorders
- Bipolar Disorders, Trauma, and Stress
- Disorders Disruptive, Impulse Control, and Conduct Disorders
- Neurodevelopmental Disorders (including Autism Spectrum Disorder)
Qualified Residential Treatment Program
(QRTP)
Saint Francis Ministries recognized the critical need for a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) in Texas, establishing the state’s first model to enhance care accessibility for youth with urgent mental and behavioral health needs. By launching a facility in the Panhandle, we’ve made it possible for families to engage more actively in their child’s therapeutic journey, significantly improving the chances for positive permanency outcomes for children in out-of-home care.
Our QRTP model is designed to benefit children in foster care especially, offering a therapeutic community where shared experiences foster empathy and treatment synergy, counteracting feelings of isolation often experienced by foster children in less specialized settings.
Professional, Therapeutic, and Compassionate Residential Care
Our residential care extends through two nurturing homes: Sagebrush House and Sunflower House. These homes provide a secure, family-like atmosphere for youths to address disruptive behaviors, supported around the clock by a dedicated interdisciplinary team. With 21 beds and a favorable staff-to-client ratio, we ensure that each child receives comprehensive care tailored to their spiritual, emotional, and physical needs.
Our treatment programs are diverse, incorporating comprehensive psychiatric services, medication management, nursing, psychological testing, individual, group, and family therapy, dietary services, substance use counseling, trauma treatment, social skills and healthy sexuality education, life skills development, and innovative approaches like equine therapy.
Committed to Quality
We never give up on a child. That dedication has earned Saint Francis a solid reputation of success among mental health providers.
