Sharing the SFM story through video and media

The Saint Francis Marketing and Communication team has added a new video to SFM’s growing success story collection about foster parents, clients, employees, and programs. Most recently, the team interviewed Omaha resident Dawn Cornelius, a dedicated and passionate foster parent who also serves as CEO of All Communities Family Services. Check out her story here.

Conversations

Last month, the team completed filming Episode 4 of our “Conversations” video series, hosted by Fr. Andrew O’Connor. This most recent installment features a tabletop discussion with Chief Program Officer Cristian Garcia and Texas Home Visiting Program Director Katherine May. Episode 5 is in process and expected to air sometime in May. The first four episodes can be viewed here: https://saintfrancisministries.org/category/conversations/.

Hearts, Hope, & Home

Speaking of Texas, Jessica Hoskins (Reintegration Director for Amarillo) and Kelsey Neinast (Texas Adoption Resource Exchange Coordinator) appeared on News Channel 10’s “2nd Cup” in Amarillo last November to promote their “Open Hearts, Open Homes” campaign during National Adoption Month. They did so well that the station has invited Saint Francis Ministries to appear in six more segments that feature SFM staff and other community partner organizations discussing a variety of topics related to child and family welfare in Amarillo. In addition to Jessica and Kelsey, Saint Francis employees Micah Smith, Mariah Glidewell, Melanie MacKenzie, and Tereasa Mansfield have also appeared on 2nd Cup.

Thanks to this relationship, SFM now has its own segment on News Channel 10: Hearts, Hope, & Home. The Saint Francis marketing team worked with the television station to develop the logo. The

first episode debuted last month and featured Saint Francis CEO William Clark. The show will focus on Saint Francis Ministries programs and services and air twice a month.

“The new segment, “Hearts, Hope, and Home,” will feature a variety of topics and SFM staff, along with adoption interviews with some of our legally free children,” said Kelsey. “We are so excited to work with News Channel 10 to bring more awareness to our community. I just want to highlight Amarillo and our community partners like the Discovery Center, Snapology of Amarillo, and The Ruffled Cup, who have graciously volunteered to host our children during these interviews. They are the first partners who have agreed to work with us, and I’m sure they’ll be more since Amarillo is such a giving community.” They’re available for viewing here: https://www.newschannel10.com/community/adoption/.

Good Day Kansas

Saint Francis also continues to sponsor an ongoing segment on KSN-Wichita’s “Good Day Kansas” show. KSN is filming multiple new segments now. Titled “Strengthening Families,” it appears every other Tuesday at 11 a.m. We’re now in our third year of production. Many staff and clients have already been featured on the segment, talking about Saint Francis programs and services.

In addition to all these efforts, the Marketing and Communications team is still creating and collating videos of success stories within the SFM footprint. Eventually, they will all be available on the website. In the meantime, there’s already great content online: https://saintfrancisministries.org/newsroom/.
