Online Courses for Personal and Professional Development
The Saint Francis Ministries Training Department now offers free access to over twenty self-paced online courses with more being developed every day, in response to requests from community partners seeking continuing education units (CEUs) and biological/kinship/foster/adoptive families seeking annual training hours.
Seven courses are available at no cost.
Learners may purchase additional courses ranging from $10 for courses under one hour to $40 for six-hour courses.
Free courses include:
- The Truth About Drugs (3 CEUs)
- Honoring Indigenous People: History, Culture, and Healing (1.5 CEUs)
- Caregiving for Teens (1 CEU)
- Motivational Interviewing Overview (2 CEUs)
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (6 CEUs)
- Bridges Out of Poverty Overview (3 CEUs)
- Keeping Kids Safe Online (3 CEUs)
Many other courses are available for purchase. Some courses offer CEUs, while others provide training hours only, both of which will be clearly indicated in the course descriptions.
Topics include ethics, diagnosis and treatment, trauma, human trafficking, health equity, leadership, teen trends, self-care, professional skills, substance use, and online safety.
