Saint Francis Ministries is pleased to announce that Holly Osborne has been named the nonprofit child and family services organization’s President of Kansas, Child Welfare, effective August 11.
Osborne joined Saint Francis more than two decades ago as a youth service worker at SFM’s Ellsworth residential facility. Since then, she has dedicated her career to serving children and families through multiple key leadership roles, including reintegration social worker; Care Center placement coordinator, supervisor, and director; Customer Care director; Executive Director of Risk Management; and most recently, Vice President of Permanency.
“I am truly honored to be selected for this role and to continue serving with the incredible team at Saint Francis Ministries,” said Osborne. “I deeply believe in our mission and the meaningful work that happens every day across our programs. The dedicated professionals who walk alongside children and families are the heart of this organization, and they are the reason I’m here. I remain committed to leading with integrity, unity, and a focus on what matters most, the children and families we serve.”
Osborne holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Fort Hays State University and an MSW from the University of Kansas. In 2017, she was recognized by the Wichita Business Journal as a recipient of the “40 under 40” award for her outstanding leadership and community involvement.
“Throughout her career, Holly has remained a steadfast advocate for children and families, leading with integrity, heart, and an unwavering belief in our mission,” said Saint Francis CEO William J. Clark. “In her new role, she will provide leadership and oversight of SFM’s Case Management programs in Kansas and Foster Care Home programs in Kansas and Nebraska while continuing to build on our legacy of providing healing and hope to children and families.”
In Texas, Alexandra Villareal has been promoted to Director of Foster Care Homes, leading offices in Lubbock and Amarillo.
“Alex is no stranger to child welfare,” said Valerie Leon, Vice President of Foster Care Homes. “She previously served as a supervisor for Lubbock/Amarillo Permanency and Reunification. Prior to joining Saint Francis Ministries, she was a foster care case management supervisor with Buckner Children and Family Services in Lubbock.”
Villarreal holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Texas Tech University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is also a licensed child placing agency administrator in Texas.
“I became a social worker to help children and families, and I continued that journey as a director to aid staff,” she said. “It’s always been a passion of mine to help others see their potential and to ensure they know their work is noticed. I enjoy listening to foster parents, children, and staff as they express their frustrations and concerns. It’s important to me to hear and validate their feelings.”
