Leake family grows through fostering, adopting

When Catherine Leake returned to her hometown of Sterling, Kansas, she never expected to build a life centered on fostering and adopting children—but that’s exactly what she’s done. Over the past 11 years, Catherine has opened her home to hundreds of children through Saint Francis Ministries, with a special commitment to keeping siblings together during the trauma of foster care placement. A single mom with strong support from her church and community, she has adopted eight children, including three sets of siblings.
