The Rev. Robert Mize Jr., an Episcopal priest, founded Saint Francis Boys’ Home nearly eight decades ago in Ellsworth, Kansas. Guided by the Gospel principles of redemption and unconditional love, Fr. Bob and his staff gave those first 12 boys a second chance at life.
Over the years, Saint Francis Ministries has provided services to as many as 12,000 children and families in seven states: Arkansas, Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas. Yet our commitment to bringing healing and hope to those who need it most has never wavered. We’re good at what we do because we prioritize human dignity. We believe every person deserves a healthy family and the opportunity to live a happy, fulfilling life.
