Investing in People Who Serve Children and Families

At Saint Francis Ministries, we know that strong outcomes for children and families begin with well-trained, skilled, and compassionate professionals. As a national leader in child and family welfare, we believe that investing in the people who serve others is one of the most effective ways to create safer families, healthier communities, and brighter futures.

In response to requests from partners, professionals, and community members, the Saint Francis Ministries Training Department now offers a growing library of self-paced online courses designed to support continuing education, professional growth, and personal development. These courses provide accessible, high-quality training and CEUs for those working in child welfare, behavioral health, education, and related helping professions.

True to our mission, Saint Francis Ministries never charges state partners or the families we serve. For others, several courses are also available at no cost, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Overview, Honoring Indigenous People: History, Culture, and Healing, Bridges Out of Poverty Overview, and Keeping Kids Safe Online. Additional courses are available for purchase at modest rates, ranging from $10 for short trainings to $40 for six-hour courses, ensuring affordability without sacrificing quality.

Course topics span critical areas such as ethics, trauma and treatment, human trafficking, health equity, leadership, adolescent trends, substance use, self-care, and online safety. Every course is developed and reviewed by licensed professionals with more than 80 years of combined experience, grounding each offering in evidence-informed practice and real-world expertise.

Children and families are best served when the people supporting them are equipped with the right tools, knowledge, and confidence. Through accessible, high-quality training, Saint Francis Ministries continues to strengthen the workforce that stands alongside children and families during their most vulnerable moments because better-prepared professionals lead to better outcomes for all.
