On today’s Good Day Kansas, we highlight a pioneering initiative at Saint Francis Ministries in Salina, focusing on Independent Living. Jennifer Walters explains the newly launched Soul Family permanency option, which allows youth aged 16 and older to choose their own supportive families, a first of its kind in the nation. This program aims to prepare them for adulthood by fostering legal and lasting relationships with trusted adults, enhancing their transition out of foster care.
