Good Day Kansas – SFM 80th Anniversary with Bill Clark

On this special Good Day Kansas segment, Saint Francis Ministries President and CEO Bill Clark reflects on the organization’s 80-year legacy—and its bold vision for the future. What began in 1945 as one priest’s response to a post-war need has grown into a multi-state ministry serving over 9,000 people each day.

Bill shared the story of Fr. Bob Mize, who opened a home for 12 boys in need, laying the foundation for what would become Saint Francis Ministries. From that humble beginning, the organization now spans six states and employs more than 1,300 people. But Bill isn’t just looking in the rearview mirror—he’s focused on the windshield. With a goal of reaching 15,000 individuals annually in the next six years, Saint Francis is committed to strengthening families, preventing crises before they happen, and restoring those that do. It’s a mission rooted in love, vision, and everyday heroes who make a difference.
