In this Good Day Kansas segment, Shaynna Brown, Development Officer at Saint Francis Ministries, highlights Match Madness, an exciting one-day giving event organized by the Greater Salina Community Foundation. Since its inception in 2012, Match Madness has raised $4.8 million for over 100 local charities. This year, generous donors have contributed a $331,000 matching pool, allowing the foundation to match donations up to 50%. The event takes place on March 21st at the Salina Fieldhouse from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., where attendees can learn about local nonprofits, participate in a free throw contest, and witness local fifth graders experience the joy of giving firsthand. Saint Francis Ministries’ own Rose Jackson will take part in the contest, with each basket she makes contributing additional funds to the cause. With multiple ways to give—online, in person, or by mail—Match Madness is a fun and impactful way for the community to support the mission of Saint Francis Ministries.
