In today’s Good Day Kansas segment, Executive Director of Development Ginny Ellis shares the excitement around the upcoming Match Madness event, held March 13 at the Salina Fieldhouse. Organized by the Greater Salina Community Foundation, this one-day giving event allows nonprofits like Saint Francis Ministries to connect with donors and receive matched contributions to amplify their impact. Ginny explains that funds raised go toward vital programs—including a new outdoor playscape for the residential facility in Salina, which has served youth from more than 80 counties across Kansas. The event features food trucks, booths, a free throw contest, and even fifth graders learning about philanthropy. Though the event is held in Salina, its impact reaches statewide, making it a powerful opportunity for supporters to double their donations and support children and families across Kansas.
