Cristian Garcia joined Saint Francis Ministries in 2019 to support growth and expand opportunities for children and families. Before joining Saint Francis, he served as Executive Director for One Accord for Kids and Regional Director for Buckner International. He has also filled various roles at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

Cristian earned his B.A. from Texas Tech University in 2007 and his M.S. from Lubbock Christian University in 2015. He has actively participated in local and national organizations dedicated to child welfare, family support, and community initiatives. He previously served as Chair of the Board for Lubbock IMPACT, Vice Chair of the Family Focused Treatment Association in Texas, and on multiple committees and coalitions focused on child and family well-being.

A passionate advocate for best practices in child welfare, Cristian engages in state and national efforts to improve systems for children and families. His leadership has been recognized with the “20 Under 40” award from the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and the “Adelante” award from Los Hermanos Familia.

Outside of work, Cristian enjoys spending time with his junior high sweetheart, Casey, and playing an active role in his two daughters’ lives.
