Saint Francis relies heavily on our community partners to fulfill our mission of bringing healing and hope to children and families, especially when someone we serve needs quick help. Take City Bank in Lubbock, Texas, for instance.
Already a steady partner for our annual Christmas for Kids campaign through Hope Tree cards and gift drives, City Bank recently came through again, this time for four children in care who needed clothing. Our Texas Development Officer, Rachel Gallegos, learned that four kids had just been placed with their biological father and didn’t have adequate clothes.
“I reached out to my contact at City Bank, and by lunchtime, they had a $500 gift card ready to pick up,” said Gallegos. “A City Bank employee also heard about the situation and personally donated another $250, knowing school would be starting soon and the family would need supplies. I am truly grateful for City Bank’s generosity and unwavering commitment to supporting the children and families we serve.”
For Saint Francis, City Bank’s quick response is a powerful reminder of just how integral our business partners are to the communities we all serve.
