In today’s Good Day Kansas segment, Jasmine—along with her husband Brigham—is honored as the 2024 Foster Family of the Year by Saint Francis Ministries. Although only Jasmine appears in the segment, the recognition celebrates the couple’s shared commitment to fostering. What began as kinship care has grown into a long-term dedication to teens and sibling groups—some of the hardest placements to find. Over six years, they’ve welcomed more than 20 children into their home, helping many transition into adulthood and even college. Jasmine shares the day-to-day rewards and challenges, especially the joy of seeing teens grow and thrive over time. Megan, a Foster Care Homes Supervisor, praises their open-minded approach, noting how they form their own opinions about each child without judgment. The couple’s story is a moving example of the lasting impact that stability, compassion, and belief in a child’s potential can create.
