Krista shares her powerful journey from a difficult childhood surrounded by addiction and incarceration to becoming a devoted mother on the path to recovery. After losing custody of her daughter and aging out of foster care, she continued to struggle with substance abuse until deciding to break the cycle and fight for a better life. With the support of her case worker Veronica and services from Saint Francis Ministries, Krista committed to sobriety, parenting programs, and education, ultimately regaining custody of her children in November 2023. She’s now pursuing certifications in medical assisting and addiction recovery, determined to build a healthier future for herself and her kids. Her story is one of transformation, resilience, and the power of second chances.
