Fostering in Faith: Alonta (Kansas)

Mostly nonverbal, 11-year-old Alonta nevertheless loves laughter. He gets a kick out of silly jokes, funny faces, and being tickled. Considered high needs because of his disabilities, Alonta is currently in an adaptive classroom in school.

With help, he has made progress in his speech, an accomplishment of which he’s very proud. He can now communicate his needs to those around him. He’s also a good eater, even if he needs help making good food choices. He has, however, become more independent, enabling him to make simple meal choices for himself, perform self-care, maintain proper hygiene, and help with chores around the home.

Despite his struggles, Alonta is extremely creative and loves to build things from old toys and Legos. He’s also a big fan of Scooby-Doo, SpongeBob SquarePants, and the animals at the farm where he’s currently placed. He also enjoys playing with the animals and watching television and movies.

Please pray that Alonta finds a home that can provide him with the support and care he needs. Pray that he finds parents who will love him unconditionally and give him a life of dignity and purpose.
