Empowering Independence for Adults with IDD

At Saint Francis Ministries, we’re committed to helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) lead more independent lives. Through our Bridgeway residential program in Picayune, Mississippi, we offer a range of services designed to promote independence, community integration, and personal growth.

Our Services

Residential Services

Our 24 fully equipped, energy-efficient units are supported round-the-clock by dedicated staff, offering amenities such as an exercise room, laundry facilities, and wellness programs. Residents enjoy the autonomy of having their own apartment while enjoying access to recreational facilities and a variety of social activities that foster a strong sense of community and belonging.

Supported Employment

Our Supported Employment aids residents in securing jobs within the community, providing essential services such as job seeking, on-the-job support, and transportation. We focus on ensuring meaningful employment and continuous growth, offering training and development assistance to foster success in their chosen careers.

Job Discovery Services

We prioritize personal growth through Job Discovery Services, offering support in volunteer opportunities, resume building, and interview skills. Our aim is to empower residents with the confidence and tools needed for self-advocacy and successful job market navigation, enhancing community involvement.

Certification and Funding

Bridgeway is a Community of Quality® national award winner as named by the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA). Bridgeway is certified by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. Funding is provided through the Intellectual Disabilities/Developmental Disabilities Medicaid Waiver (ID/DD Waiver) and Home and Community Based Services 1915 (i) programs.

Our person-centered approach, combined with a full range of support services and community integration, makes us unique. We’re dedicated to ensuring every resident can live and work as independently as possible.

Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (18+) who have a desire to live independently, demonstrate personal responsibility, maintain employment, and participate in community activities are eligible for our programs.

There are many ways to support, including introducing our programs to your community, sponsoring social activities, or employing Bridgeway residents.
