People Are at the Heart of Our Work
Saint Francis Ministries has just released the 2024–2025 Impact Report, and it’s filled with information and inspiring stories that showcase the extraordinary difference SFM makes in the lives of the children and families it serves.
Titled “Hope in Every Story,” the issue opens with a letter from Saint Francis Ministries CEO, William Clark:
“Every day at Saint Francis Ministries, we encounter stories that remind us why we do this work. Some stories will break your heart. Most, however, inspire – stories of courage, perseverance, and second chances. They are the ones that remind us that regardless of how a story begins, each has the potential to transform heartbreak into hope.
Transformation occurs because people are at the heart of our work – children, families, and communities – whose lives are shaped by resilience, connection, and love. This year’s theme, “Hope in Every Story,” reflects not just our mission but our commitment to champion the potential in every life. Hope challenges us to look beyond the present moment, to envision the future our children deserve, and to help create it. This focus is why we’re trying something new this year – QR codes that connect you to videos of some of our most compelling stories. Look for them at the foot of select pages.
September 3, 2025, marks the 80th anniversary of our founding. As we honor our past, we also look ahead with hope – seeking new opportunities and spaces to serve. Saint Francis Ministries continues to grow, not for growth’s sake, but because need exists. We go where we’re needed, expanding into new areas of service, developing innovative programs, and strengthening the families and communities we serve. Whether that means providing foster care, offering behavioral health and prevention support, or addressing the unique challenges faced by families in crisis, our focus remains the same: restoring hope, one story at a time.
Our future is bright, as every story holds the possibility of hope. Thank you for joining us in this work, for believing in the children and families we serve, and for helping us make sure that hope is never out of reach.”
