Celebrating the Spirit of Gratitude
SFM has some of the most caring and supportive staff. Each of you brings something unique and special to our organization — and together, you touch lives every day. We are truly grateful you’re here! 💛
As we continue our journey through the year, we’re entering the season of gratitude, and giving.
We invite you to take a moment to reflect and share what you’re thankful for.
You can submit as many times as you like — there’s so much to be thankful for!
Thank you for making SFM such a wonderful and inspiring place to work.

On April 8, 2025, my family and I experienced a devastating fire that completely changed our lives. During one of the hardest moments we’ve ever faced, my coworkers and community members stepped in with love, support, and compassion that I will never forget. From comforting words, donations, prayers, meals, and simply checking on us — every act of kindness helped us get through a time of fear and uncertainty.
Your support reminded me that SFM is not just a workplace — it is truly a family. The community around us showed the same kindness, proving that even in the hardest moments, we are surrounded by people who genuinely care.
As we reflect on what we are thankful for, I am especially grateful for each of you who stood by my family. Your kindness meant more than I can ever express.

I’m most grateful for the continued efforts everyone is applying towards helping children and Families in need. Even when those families don’t see the work we do as helpful.

I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to grow here — not just in skill, but in confidence, purpose, and direction. Over the last year and a half, I’ve felt myself truly thriving, and that isn’t something I say lightly. This job has stretched me, challenged me, and also supported me in ways that have changed me for the better. I’m grateful that God placed me exactly where I needed to be, surrounded by people who believe in the work we do and in each other. Being part of a team that shows up with heart, compassion, and dedication every single day is something I don’t take for granted. Thank you to everyone who has poured into me, encouraged me, and given me space to grow. I’m thankful to be here, to contribute, and to continue walking this journey with all of you.

I am grateful for my brain. Because of the way I’m wired, I am able to see things others do not. It works well for me in my job as a compliance tech!
I am thankful for my poor eyesight and sinus issues. With these I choose to rely totally on God and can appreciate the good things He gives me.

I am most grateful for being able to spend time with my child everyday now that I am back at SFM. Working from home and not outside of the home on second shift I am able to spend every night with him. I am also so thankful for my family. We have worked so hard to be where we are this year and it has not been without struggles.

I am most grateful for the time I was able to spend with family over the thanksgiving holiday. I am thankful to be able work for an organization working to do good for the vulnerable. I am thankful for all of the many ways we as humans have developed to give and receive gratitude, kindness, and love. It is a beautiful thing to find the helpers in every facet of your life.
